"Therefore, pray earnestly for workers for his harvest..." Luke 10:2
We are L10-2, the Church Multiplication Network of the Anglican Diocese of the Mid-Atlantic.
Our vision is to saturate the region with a thriving network of churches in the Anglican tradition that are biblical, missional, and reproducing, thereby helping to spark a Holy Spirit-led revival in our region.
The Most Rev. Robert Duncan, first Archbishop of the Anglican Church in North America, called for the planting of 1,000 new congregations during his tenure. Although the new province did not reach the original goal, his challenge catalyzed hundreds of new congregations. L10-2 is the Church Planting arm of the Diocese of the Mid-Atlantic, and is part of the work of the Diocese’s Great Commission Committee. We work to stimulate, coordinate, and support the planting of new worshiping communities in our region. Always Forward is our national strategy to complete this work, which we embrace.
An Invitation: join in!
If you are passionate for the gospel of Jesus Christ, and sense a stirring to be involved in helping to plant a church in the Mid-Atlantic, contact us! L10-2 seeks both lay and ordained pioneers. We’re praying that God will send both planters and those who come alongside them – people like you. We’ll have an initial phone interview, and suggest next steps. If you are ready to apply to be a planter with us, click here.
Values: who we are
What is L10-2? We are inspired by Luke 10:2 – “Therefore, pray earnestly for workers for his harvest….”
We pray for and equip workers for God’s harvest. We are:
- lifelong disciples of Jesus who train disciples to train others
- missional and reproducing at every level
- prayer-based and prayer-driven
- Spirit-empowered leaders
- cultural change agents
- Spirit-inspired risk takers
- a learning community
- partners in gospel mission with our congregations
- partners with other Bible-believing Christians to transform our region
Mission: what we do
Equipping church planters is our main focus. We recruit, assess, train, resource, deploy, coach, network, oversee, and mobilize prayer for Planters. For more about how we equip church planters, click here. We support church planting churches and rectors with internships, residencies, training, coaching, and resources. To learn how we support planters and churches, click here. We also discern strategic areas to plant. See our maps here.
You’ll find churches of the Diocese of the Mid-Atlantic in Virginia, District of Columbia, Maryland, and northeastern North Carolina. We are 30 established Congregations and Missions and 10 emerging missions and new works. We support the planting of churches throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region. Several more are in formation now, including one in West Virginia. For locations of current churches, click here; for locations of existing plants and target cities for new plants, click here.
Creed: what we believe
To be an Anglican is to embrace a distinct way of being a “Mere Christian,” at the same time evangelical, apostolic, catholic, reformed, and Spirit-filled. We hold to the Nicene and Apostles’ Creeds, and uphold the primary authority of the Holy Scriptures. The Jerusalem Declaration sets forth the doctrinal marks of our movement within Anglicanism, called the Fellowship of Confessing Anglicans, now representing over 50 million Anglicans worldwide.
